Top 5 Ways to Promote a REALIGN Class
We want you to have a successful class and one of the most vital parts to your success is making sure people come! That means you have to promote the class like crazy! Here are our top five ideas for how you can promote your class to the masses!
1. Church Announcement and/or Sermon Series
An announcement from your pastor on a Sunday morning is by and far the best way to promote your upcoming class. Make sure that you give them enough notice ahead of time and the specific details for the class and where people can find more information and sign up for the class. If you can pair the announcement with a bulletin announcement and a showing of the promotional video, then it is a home-run!
But by far the Grand Slam of promoting the class would be to launch a Realign Sermon Series the month prior to your class starting. See below for more details and an example of one church's sermons.
2. Social Media Explosion!
We live in a digital age where people find out about events via social media. Be sure to use Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and any other social media websites to help get the word out about your upcoming classes. Ask past class participants and friends to share your announcements with others and help the message continue to spread.
3. Word-of-mouth
The next most effective way to promote your upcoming class is through personal stories of those who have already been through the program. People always want to know if the class is worth their time and investment, and we believe that a person whose life has been changed is the best way to communicate this.
4. Flyers and Posters
Take fliers and brochures to local restaurants, businesses, and entertainment venues and ask to put a few posters up. Make sure that you have clearly given people the start dates and ways to contact you to sign up for the class.
5. Email Blast
If you have a group of friends in your area that you can send an email to, this is a great, quick way to get the message out. You can ask them to forward it to others that they think might be interested in attending the class.
More than anything, just go for it! People need this class and they can't find out about it unless you promote it like crazy!

Suggested Promotional Schedule
We encourage you to start at least two months in advance spreading the word about the class. Normally the best time to start a new class is in September, February, or June.
Start by scheduling your class on the church calendar and letting your leadership know that the class will be starting in two months.
Then recruit a small team of people to help you begin spreading the word to people in your church and those outside of your church.
One month out, begin posting graphics on social media sites letting people know that the class is coming with the start date and location. You can also post the promotional video on your page.
The final month, you want to begin including an announcement about the class in your church’s bulletin and have your pastor tie it into at least one of their sermons.
Two weeks out from the class have your pastor make an announcement about the class and encourage people to begin signing up for the class. If you are allowed to, we encourage you to show the promotional video during a service and set-up a table in your church lobby where people can sign up for the class after the service.

Realign Sermon Series
One of the best ways to garner immense momentum is to do a 3 to 4 week sermon series at your church that leads into a Realign Class. Through the years, we have found that this is THE BEST WAY to get a ton of people into your classes.
The three weeks would be titled: Live Simply, Work Diligently, and Give Generously. If you would add a fourth week, it would be titled Living for Eternity.
Below we have provided an example of one church's sermon series.
